Our Approach
Our approach entails developing a rigorous body of evidence on public finance, developing citizens’ and civil society capacities to deliberate on budget decisions and engage with governments, and partnering with development partners, governments, civil society actors and citizens to co-create sustainable models in the PFM space.

Collaborative Research & Analysis
Through collaborative research and analysis, Bajeti Hub continues to strengthen the generation of evidence that enables citizens to effectively engage with governments on how public funds are raised and spent, with the end goal of improved service delivery.
Our evidence generation remains an integral intervention that informs capacity-building and advocacy efforts and continues to bolster Bajeti Hub’s position as a thought leader in the public finance space in Kenya and beyond.

Strategic Advocacy
Bajeti Hub’s advocacy is structured around the official budget cycle in Kenya and driven by the local communities affected by budget decisions.
This involves engaging with a range of state and non-state actors to promote inclusiveness, transparency and accountability over public funds.

Learning
As an organisation, Bajeti Hub has also grown in terms of the nature and amount of work and the people we work with. To ensure we are documenting our progress, a cross-cutting element in our approach is our commitment to learning.
This often calls for taking a step back and rethinking the work we do, why we do it, and how we do it, and what/who we do it for. We endeavour to understand and document our successes and challenges and use both as opportunities to learn about ourselves, our partnerships and our work.
