Implementation Partners
Bajeti Hub supported the establishment of Regional Budget Hubs that serve as platforms for county based Budget Facilitators to share experiences and learn from each other. The Regional Budget Hubs are hosted by county based CSOs which spur citizens engagement in budget processes both at the national and county level.

Coast Regional Budget Hub
The Coast Regional Budget Hub is a platform for Public Finance Management (PFM) practitioners that brings together regional voices for collective efforts and synergy to enhance public budgets and services across the Coastal Region of Kenya.
The Coast Regional Budget Hub operates in the six Coastal counties: Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Lamu, Taita-Taveta, and Tana River.

Nairobi, East and Central Regional Budget Hub
Nairobi, East and Central Regional Budget Hub brings together Budget Facilitators and Budget Champions from Nairobi, Kajiado, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Machakos, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Kiambu, Makueni, Kitui and Nyandarua counties.

Northern Regional Budget Hub
The North-Eastern Regional Budget Hub brings together budget facilitators and Champions from the Northern Counties of Kenya. This includes Garissa, Mandera, Marsabit, Isiolo, and Wajir.

Lake Regional Budget Hub
The Lake Region Budget Hub is a platform that brings together civil society organisations consisting of highly trained budget facilitators and budget champions actively participating in budget advocacy work in counties within the Lake Region Economic Block (LREB).
The budget facilitators and champions are drawn from Bungoma, Busia,Homa Bay, Kakamega, Kisii, Kisumu, Migori, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Siaya, and Vihiga.

Rift Valley Budget Hub
The Rift Valley Budget Hub is a platform for budget practitioners in the region to build synergy in the county, regional and national level budget engagement. It is also a platform for peer-to-peer learning on best practices in the budget processes.
The regional hub covers Nakuru, Baringo, Bomet, Kericho, West Pokot, Nandi, Turkana, Elgeyo Marakwet, Uasin Gishu Narok and Samburu counties.

Coast Regional Budget Hub

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, supports Bajeti Hub to improve UHC financing by strengthening public finance processes at national and sub-national levels.

Co-Impact
Bajeti Hub is part of Co-Impact’s design phase, which seeks to support Program Partners to apply a systems-thinking approach to their work. Our initiative focuses on improving outcomes for women and girls in primary health care.

National Endowment for Democracy (NED)
NED has supported Bajeti Hub since 2021 to strengthen public participation in the budget process, through raising public awareness in budgetary processes and building the capacity of a diverse set of stakeholders.

Diakonia
Bajeti Hub’s long-term partnership with Diakonia has sought to consolidate the gains made in strengthening the capacity of county-level civil society organisations and communities to engage with their local governments. A key part of this work is bringing community voices to national level budget deliberations and engaging with the accompanying oversight institutions.

Royal Norwegian Embassy
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kenya supports Bajeti Hub to support citizens and independent public institutions in re-claiming Kenya’s social contract for meaningful and consistent public finance management in public debt acquisition, utilisation and servicing.

UNICEF
UNICEF supports Bajeti Hub’s work on enhancing sub-national budget transparency and strengthening public finance processes towards improving outcomes for children and mothers.

Uraia Trust
Uraia Trust’s work with Bajeti Hub focuses on increasing responsiveness and accountability in Kenya’s public spaces. Specifically, the project aims to build the voices of citizens in budgeting spaces, especially in rural marginalised counties by strengthening their capacity to read and analyse public budgets.

World Bank
The Bank support Bajeti Hubs work around public participation, with a focus on strengthening the processes and practices that county governments make use of in soliciting input and feedback from the public.
